Key responsibilities:
-Health & Safety and FireChecks – Be accountable for Health & Safety and Fire safety checksincluding comprehensive and clearly auditable records. Effective liaisonbetween internal departments as necessary.
-Safeguarding – You’ll know whatto look for and take swift, appropriate action when needed, and you will beresponsible for regularly monitoring and reporting on the general safety andwellbeing of customers, including signposting, and referring customers tosupport services’ where appropriate.
-Partnership Working – Liaisingwith care providers, GPs, social services, families – keeping it all joined up.
-Being the ‘go-to’ – You’ll be thefirst port of call for residents, families, and professionals alike.
-Effective management of thebuilding and estate to ensure effective health and safety management, securityand cleanliness of the site. This will include things such as reportingrepairs, undertaking fire alarms, conducting pull cord checks and effectiverecording of this.
-Effectively manage thetermination of tenancies and associated liaison with the voids, lettings teamand contractors.
-Responsible for customerengagement and consultation, facilitate customers’ aspirations for social andwellbeing activities, proactively engaging with care, statutory, and voluntaryagencies, ensuring the service and site is accessible to all.
-To manage low level ASB cases inaccordance with policies and procedures working with the Housing team andprovide clear guidance to customers reporting ASB.
-Assist customers to claim HousingBenefit and other welfare benefits, to ensure rent arrears are reduced and rentis paid regularly and on time.
More about you:
-Intermediate MS Office skills andwillingness to learn new systems
-Experience in a customer-facingrole within care and/or support
-Proven experience of working withvulnerable people and community groups
-Confidence with health and safetybasics
-Sound working knowledge ofsafeguarding legislation and best practice frameworks.
