Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Care and Support Team within a supported housing setting. You\’ll be working alongside one other Intensive Housing Management Worker to manage the health and safety of the building and to safeguard the clients that live here by answering clients enquiries and providing reactive support to those that are in crisis in the absence of the main support team.

Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Care and Support Team within a supported housing setting. You\’ll be working alongside one other Intensive Housing Management Worker to manage the health and safety of the building and to safeguard the clients that live here by answering clients enquiries and providing reactive support to those that are in crisis in the absence of the main support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that Health & Safety checks are carried out by the team in accordance with A2Dominion\’s policies and procedures and that voids are kept to a minimum.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed
- Reception duties including answering the telephone, coordinating transport when necessary, updating appointment book and signing in & out visitors and keys
- Process voids and report/follow up repairs
- Engage with external partners to ensure the best outcome for our residents
- Ensure reporting documents are being completed
- Work closely with the support team and housing officer to address any breaches of a client’s license with the aim of preventing client evictions and focusing on tenancy sustainment
- Report to the Senior Intensive Housing Management Worker (IHMW) to highlight any concerns regarding the running of the building that compromises the safety of the building, staff and the residents that live within it
- Providing emotional support in a sensitive and empathetic manner, offering guidance in accordance with procedures and the boundaries of the job role
More About You
You won’t necessarily have experience in this sector, as we recognise that transferrable skills and experience are just as valuable.
We are specifically looking for candidates with the right skills and attitudes, who will demonstrate and promote our values of caring by nature, working better together and thinking for tomorrow.
- Intermediate MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and problem solving capabilities
- Experience in Homelessness and/or substance misuse and/or mental health is preferred but not necessary
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations to reduce conflict
