Location: Office-based role in Oxford (OX4)

Salary: £24,479 – £26,000 per annum (actual) / Pro rata for 30hpw: £20,972 – £22,285

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract

DBS Level: Enhanced

Role Overview: As part of a team, to deliver intensive housing management services on site that meet the needs of vulnerable residents and support the general maintenance and security of the buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out regular building inspections, identify elements of maintenance required and report repairs to the appropriate department.
  • To help maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security within the building by carrying out regular checks (e.g. patrols and monitoring of CCTV, alarm testing) and maintaining accurate records (e.g. visitor logbooks, maintenance reporting, etc).
  • To be a key holder for the building and to allow/supervise access as appropriate.
  • To assist the Housing Team with viewings and sign-ups where there are individual tenant needs and assist new residents to settle into their accommodation.
  • To assist tenants to understand the housing management policies, for example where reporting of ASB would be appropriate.
  • To support resident involvement and consultation events by helping to ensure that residents are kept informed and involved in decisions relating to their accommodation.
  • To regularly monitor the general safety and wellbeing of residents including sign-posting residents to support services where appropriate.
  • To report any concerns relating to safeguarding of vulnerable people using the correct procedures.
  • To develop and maintain constructive relationships with residents, care and support providers, commissioning bodies and others from the wider community.

More About You:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or willing to study towards
  • Previous experience working in Care, Support, or Housing role desirable
  • Understanding and knowledge of safeguarding processes
  • Ability to form positive relationships with colleagues, service users and families
  • Ability to keep accurate records and follow administrative procedures and data protection/confidentiality guidelines
  • Ability to use IT packages and management information systems.
