A2B Social care have a superb opportunity for an Operations Manager/Responsible Individual to join our dedicated Children\’s Home team.
This role is essential in overseeing the daily operations of our 5 homes preferably based in Maidenhead or willing to travel, ensuring that the children and young people receive the highest standard of care and support in a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the overall quality and compliance of the care home in line with Childrens Homes Regulations
- Act as the Registered Individual with Ofsted, ensuring full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Lead and support Registered Managers, promoting best practices and high performance
- Develop service improvement strategies and champion a culture of safeguarding and excellence
- Represent the organisation during Ofsted inspections and liaise with external stakeholders
- Monitor service delivery, ensure quality assurance, and identify opportunities for development
- Support with recruitment, retention, and staff training.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a children\’s residential setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulation, safeguarding.
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
- Background working with children and young people with complex needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Good communicator and decision-maker with a focus on quality and compliance
- At least two years experience as a Responsible Individual with Ofsted.
- Essential Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
Salary:
£65,000 – £80,000 per annum, working full time, 5 days per week if you have the capacity to accommodate, plus benefits package.
