We are looking for a Goods-in Inspector who has very good skills in stock control. The main responsibility is receiving, inspecting, and logging deliveries arriving at the company. You will work as part of the wider stores team and will be trained on all roles but with a bias towards the receiving of materials. Deliveries range from multiple pallets of raw materials or components to a delivery of single items. Your day will be split 50% product inspection and movement, 50% computer data input.
- Can you be accurate when taking measurements and recording figures?
- Have you got experience booking goods in which includes being responsible for receiving/checking incoming goods?
- Can you ensure the goods match the relevant paperwork (purchase order, delivery note)?
- Can you ensure that the goods are in a good condition and match the item specs?
- Can you use measuring tools such as a shadowgraph and Vernier gauge?
- Do you hold a Forklift licence and have experience driving a Forklift? What Licence do you hold? Reach or Counterbalance?
- Can you physically move stock around the warehouse and move stock from one location to another via the company's computer systems?
- Would you have any knowledge of 123 Insight or similar software? This is used for all movements of stock from the point of delivery to being despatched finished goods.
- Are you able to identify lot numbers of products and any discrepancies found?
