Our engineering client is looking for a specialist TIG welder to work in their Lancing manufacturing facility. The work will mainly involve welding tubular material using the TIG welding process (GTAW). Most of the applications are architectural, so it is very important to be able to work to very high finish standards.
Salary would be dependent on results from an in-house welding test and experience. The higher £18 rate requires someone to act as a welding team leader/supervisor with additional responsibilities. It is therefore important that you could demonstrate during a weld test that you could produce quality welds on tubular material using the TIG welding process. The material could be stainless or aluminium.
The job is initially for a twelve-week period and then would go permanent after a successful trial period.
Working Hours:
- Standard working week: 40 hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Lunch break: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- ¼ hour breaks in the morning & afternoon
- Overtime after a minimum of 40 hrs is paid at time and a half.
