Our engineering client is looking for two Assembly Technicians to work in their precision engineering assembly department in Lancing.
Core Skills and Experience Required:
- Computer Knowledge
- Basics of handling Machines/ Lathes
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Assembly and/or Testing within a precision engineering environment
Description of Role:
- Assembly of bare shaft pumps and pump packages.
- Working from Engineering Drawings
- Jib & Monorail Cranes
- Laser Alignment Equipment
- Fork Lift (bonus but not necessary)
- Hydraulic Press
- Torque Tools
- Test pumps and systems in the product test rig Plan to meet defined requirements.
- Assist in the coordination of assembly and test activities.
- Troubleshooting product issues with the engineering team, working with them where necessary to resolve & rectify such problems.
- Carry out testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Work within the company Quality Management System & assist with corrective actions and process improvements where applicable.
- Instigate product design & process improvements via the QMS engineering change process.
Working Times:
Candidates are required to work 5 days per week, with an expected working day of 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. They will therefore be paid for 8 hours per day.
