Ambition24direct is a CQC-registered specialist complex homecare agency, part of A24 Group — one of the UK's largest healthcare staffing organisations with over 30 years in the sector. We provide nursing-led complex care packages for adults and children across England and Scotland, including some of the most clinically complex and long-standing paediatric packages commissioned directly by ICBs and local authorities. We hold a CQC Good rating and are registered with the Care Inspectorate in Scotland. We are now expanding our registered presence into new regions and are looking for the right people to lead that growth on the ground.

This is not a traditional Registered Manager post. It is a business development role first — with the Registered Manager responsibilities following as the caseload builds. In the first phase your focus is entirely on business development: activating your existing relationships with ICB commissioners, NHS discharge teams, local authority CHC leads, HSC Trusts (Northern Ireland), and complex care case managers in your region, and converting those relationships into commissioned complex care packages placed with Ambition24direct. As packages are won and the local caseload grows, the role evolves naturally into CQC or RQIA Registered Manager responsibilities, contract management, and clinical governance oversight — fully supported by our central compliance and clinical team. Our back-office, booking, and compliance functions are managed centrally. You will not be burdened with administration. Your focus is relationships, growth, and in time, the governance of what you have built. Two days per week to start. The role grows directly in line with what you deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and activate commissioner relationships in your region — ICB, local authority, NHS discharge, HSC Trust (NI)
  • Identify and pursue complex care package opportunities for adults and children (CYP)
  • Represent Ambition24direct at commissioner meetings, MDTs, and local NHS and social care forums
  • Support package mobilisation working with our central clinical and operations team
  • Evolve into CQC or RQIA Registered Manager for your regional location as caseload grows
  • Manage active packages, commissioner relationships, and contract performance over time

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration (RGN), OR Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care — held, not in progress. One of these two is essential. There are no exceptions.
  • Proven knowledge of the health and social care commissioning landscape in your region
  • Existing relationships with ICB commissioners, CHC leads, discharge planners, or case managers that you can activate immediately
  • Experience in a senior clinical, commissioning, or care management role
  • Comfortable operating independently and building a market without day-to-day management
  • Previous CQC or RQIA Registered Manager experience is an advantage but not required

What we offer

  • Competitive part-time salary — negotiable based on experience and local network
  • Full autonomy to build your regional market, backed by a nationally established provider
  • Complete back-office, compliance, and clinical support from our central team
  • A role that grows with what you deliver — more packages, more days, more responsibility
  • Full support through the CQC or RQIA registration and fit person interview process
