Location: Staines-upon-Thames (TW18) Sites: Berryscroft Court & The Doultons (onsite across both schemes)

Salary: £33,945.60 per annum

Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Role overview: To deliver a high-quality scheme management service to meet the needs and aspirations of our customers in retirement living, extra care, leasehold and supported housing, by creating and maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers, visitors and professionals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for Health & Safety and Fire safety checks including comprehensive and clearly auditable records. Effective liaison between internal departments as necessary.
  • Effective management of the building and estate to ensure effective health and safety management, security and cleanliness of the site. This will include things such as reporting repairs, undertaking fire alarms, conducting pull cord checks and effective recording of this.
  • To provide a person-centered service to our customers that encapsulates our ‘Retirement Living’ ethos utilising the provided tools and guides available.
  • Accountable for appropriate and effective safeguarding reporting and actions, in line with legislation and internal reporting systems.
  • Be responsible for customer engagement and consultation, facilitate customers’ aspirations for social and wellbeing activities, proactively engaging with care, statutory, and voluntary agencies, ensuring the service and site is accessible to all.
  • Manage low level ASB cases in accordance with policies and procedures working with the Housing team and provide clear guidance to customers reporting ASB.
  • To be the point of contact and liaison with all relevant agencies, both statutory and voluntary as required.
  • To be responsible for regularly monitoring and reporting on the general safety and wellbeing of customers, including signposting, and referring customers to support services where appropriate.
  • To manage low level complaints or dissatisfaction on site in accordance with A2Dominion Policy.
  • To support Housing Manager with general queries relating to Service Charges.

More about you:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Previous experience of a Customer facing role ideally within the Care and Support
  • Understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals, including older people or within supported/sheltered housing
  • Confident in customer-facing roles and working with community groups
  • A good awareness of the needs of older people, and knowledge of statutory and voluntary services including DWP and Adult
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people in particular older persons housing and/or supported housing for adults.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to undertake residents meetings and write minutes.
  • Experience of maintaining buildings health and safety requirements, including regular inspections, recording and monitoring.
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving licence desirable, but not essential.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant area such as Health & Social Care.
  • Level 2 Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent).
