Role Description The Domestic Appliance Service Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gravesend. The engineer will diagnose faults, repair, and maintain domestic appliances from multiple brands, ensuring safe and effective operation. Daily tasks include visiting customer locations, assessing appliance issues, ordering and fitting parts, and completing service reports accurately. The role involves communicating clearly with customers about work carried out, providing basic usage and care guidance, and upholding manufacturer standards. The engineer will also follow health and safety procedures, manage tools and spare parts inventory, and collaborate with the service team to meet service level and quality targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Field Service skills, including on-site troubleshooting and independent work at customer premises.
- Candidates should possess Appliance Repair and Maintenance & Repair skills, with experience handling a range of domestic appliances.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally and clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Relevant technical training or certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or appliance repair, is beneficial.
- Experience working with branded domestic appliances and reading technical manuals or schematics is an advantage.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally in and around Dartford as required.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adherence to health and safety standards.
