We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful dealership in Bury St Edmunds. Working within a modern workshop, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a range of vehicles while maintaining manufacturer and DVSA standards.
Typical technician duties include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
- Performing warranty and recall work as required
- Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
- Road testing vehicles where necessary
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Diagnostic Technician
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- MOT Licence advantageous but not essential
