We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our client who are a leading waste management company. Start times are flexible between 6:00am and 8:00am, depending on preference, but a consistent daily start time will be agreed.
Key responsibility:
- Responsible for sorting and separating paper materials prior to shredding and baling.
Day-to-day duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across yard and machinery areas.
- Sweep external yard spaces after lorry loading has been completed.
- Empty food waste bins into the compactor unit.
- Wash food bins and fit new plastic liners as required.
- Carry out basic repairs on damaged food bins when necessary.
- Clean and maintain glass recycling bins.
- Support drivers with loading and unloading tasks when required.
