A leading and well-established bus operator is seeking a skilled and reliable Bus Mechanic to join its engineering team based in the Wimbledon area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a top-tier company offering competitive pay, a strong work-life balance, and a modern fleet.
The Role: As a Bus Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of buses to the highest safety and performance standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, reliable, and compliant with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Perform MOT preparation and general repairs
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician, or PSV Engineer
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to high standards of safety and workmanship
