A1 Labour are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager on behalf of our client who are a well revered Construction Principal Contractor.
The Estimating Manager is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for construction projects.
The role works closely with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams to help secure new projects and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions
- Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Carry out site visits when required
- Attend tender review and project handover meetings
- Support value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure timely and accurate tender submissions
- Provide support and guidance to other team members
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Undertake any other duties required to support the business Skills & Experience
- Experience in a construction estimating role
- Strong understanding of construction costs and procurement
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
