An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Conveyancing Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join a busy, growing and well-established residential property team based in Weybridge, Surrey.
This role would suit a newly qualified or junior Solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive, high-performing environment, with the opportunity to take ownership of their own caseload and gain further exposure to a broad range of residential property transactions.
We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have genuine hands-on experience managing and progressing their own conveyancing matters, rather than solely providing support to more senior fee earners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to exchange and completion.
- Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Review title documentation, searches, contracts and property information.
- Raise and respond to enquiries, identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Draft contracts, reports on title, completion statements and associated documentation.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers and other legal professionals.
- Advise clients throughout the conveyancing process, providing clear, commercially focused advice.
- Manage exchange, completion and relevant post-completion formalities, including SDLT and registration requirements.
- Maintain accurate files and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
- Proactively progress transactions, manage deadlines and deliver excellent client service.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales, with NQ–3 years PQE.
- Practical residential conveyancing experience gained during training and/or post-qualification.
- Direct experience handling and progressing your own conveyancing files.
- A sound understanding of residential sales and purchases, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients, lenders, estate agents and other solicitors.
- The ability to identify issues, resolve enquiries and progress matters efficiently.
- Strong drafting, communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while contributing to a wider team.
Experience with new-build transactions, remortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership or high-volume caseloads would be advantageous but is not essential.
What We're Looking For
The key requirement is genuine fee-earning conveyancing experience.
We are looking for someone who has taken meaningful responsibility for progressing their own matters, including client communication, dealing with enquiries and working towards exchange and completion.
Applications from newly qualified Solicitors are welcomed, provided they can demonstrate substantial hands-on experience gained during a residential conveyancing seat.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior Solicitor who enjoys client contact, takes ownership of their work and wants to continue developing their technical expertise within a busy residential property team.
