We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Conveyancing Solicitor (1–3 years PQE) to join our growing Residential Property team in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive and high-performing environment. The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload of residential property matters, handling approximately 20–25 new instructions per month while maintaining high standards of client care, technical excellence, and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
  • Handle approximately 20–25 new matters per month, ensuring files progress efficiently and proactively.
  • Advise clients on all aspects of:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Remortgages
    • Transfers of equity
    • New build transactions
    • Shared ownership matters
    • Help to Buy and other government-backed schemes (where applicable)
  • Conduct title investigations and resolve title issues.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, developers, and other solicitors.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate file management and compliance with SRA, AML, and lender requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Assist with business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • 1 to 3 years' PQE with experience gained within residential conveyancing.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload of residential property transactions.
  • Experience handling sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-care abilities.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
