Job Description
🚛 Transport Planner – Join Our Traffic Team!
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Transport Planner to join our busy Traffic Department. This role is key to keeping our transport operations running smoothly — ensuring goods move efficiently, safely, and on time.
🔑 What you’ll be doing
- Planning and routing journeys, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficiency at every step.
- Dispatching trucks for Day 1 and preparing for Day 2 operations.
- Liaising with port expeditors/supervisors to ensure correct job despatch.
- Supporting Day 2 planning (setting up daymen, homework floats, etc.).
- Managing driver admin, including parking and night-out procedures.
- Working closely with Customer Service on daily issues.
- Coordinating with HR on driver-related matters and with Fleet on truck/trailer servicing.
- General system and screen maintenance, including weekly close-downs.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
✅ What we’re looking for
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with TOPS (TMS), VBS, and CBS.
- Strong IT skills, including transportation management software and GPS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
