Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm (some flexibility with hours may be needed)
About the Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our clients team in Tilbury. This is a full-time, on-site position within a fast-paced, global logistics environment. The successful candidate will support the coordination of day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods while delivering a high level of service to customers and internal stakeholders. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency across transport, warehousing, and administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics activities, including transport scheduling and shipment monitoring
- Act as a point of contact for customer and warehouse queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Prepare, process, and maintain logistics documentation and records
- Support warehouse operations through effective communication and coordination
- Raise, check, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a time-sensitive environment
- Support month-end activities, requiring flexibility with working hours when needed
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident dealing with customers and internal operational teams
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain essential
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with administrative and logistics systems
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
