About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Bridging Finance Paralegal to join a well-established and growing law firm in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist property finance team, supporting solicitors on a broad range of bridging finance and secured lending transactions.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in bridging finance or property finance and will be confident managing files, liaising with lenders and borrowers, and progressing transactions from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of bridging finance matters under appropriate supervision.
  • Assisting with secured lending and short-term finance transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, including loan agreements, legal charges and ancillary documents.
  • Conducting title investigations and reviewing property searches.
  • Raising and responding to legal enquiries.
  • Liaising with lenders, borrowers, brokers, valuers and solicitors throughout the transaction.
  • Preparing completion statements and coordinating completion of transactions.
  • Managing post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications and file closures.
  • Maintaining accurate case records using the firm's case management system.
  • Ensuring compliance with lender requirements, regulatory obligations and internal procedures.
  • Providing exceptional client service and regular updates throughout the transaction.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a

Bridging Finance Paralegal , Property Finance Paralegal or Secured Lending Paralegal.

  • Experience handling bridging finance and secured lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of property law and secured lending procedures.
  • Experience dealing with lenders, brokers and property professionals.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Professional, proactive and client-focused approach.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience acting for specialist bridging lenders.
  • Knowledge of commercial property finance transactions.
  • Experience with both regulated and unregulated lending matters.
  • Familiarity with Land Registry requirements and Companies House registrations where applicable.
