An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical capability, excellent organisation, and a passion for delivering high‑quality electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out functional testing on board‑level audio products, ensuring all equipment is correctly tested, calibrated, and certified according to defined test procedures.
- Fault‑find to component level across final assemblies and sub‑assemblies, identifying root causes and carrying out effective repairs.
- Perform high‑accuracy PCB rework, including single‑sided and PTH multi‑layer boards with both through‑hole and surface‑mount components.
- Work closely with the design team on the creation and maintenance of test procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to electronics test and production teams when required.
- Read and interpret circuit schematics, understanding analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity.
- Ensure excellent time management and organisation, completing tasks efficiently and to quality standards.
- Follow health and safety procedures, reporting any faulty tools, equipment, or jigs.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within the department.
- Collaborate with the department supervisor to deliver accurate technical feedback on PCB batches received from sub‑contract assembly partners, supporting continuous quality improvement.
