We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Hatfield, known for delivering high-quality products to clients across the UK and beyond. With a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement, the company is now looking for a hands-on, experienced Production Manager to lead its operations team.

The Role

As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the factory floor, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are consistently met. You’ll lead, coach and develop a team of production operatives while identifying and implementing process improvements to boost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations to meet output and quality targets
• Motivate and guide production teams to perform at their best
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
• Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams
• Introduce and support lean manufacturing practices
• Manage staffing levels, training, and team development
• Report on performance and improvement plans to senior management

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Production Manager (or similar role) in a manufacturing setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Solid understanding of quality control, health & safety, and production processes
• A proactive mindset with a passion for problem-solving and improvement
• Comfortable using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office
• Experience with lean manufacturing methods is a plus
