About the Role

A rapidly growing passive fire protection company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their commercial team on a 12-month fixed-term contract - (may be extended due to growth). This role is pivotal in managing the financial and commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operations to assess work requirements and costings.
  • Maintain client relationships and support business development.
  • Liaise with the Commercial Director on future opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly valuations and applications in line with client schedules.
  • Oversee invoicing and resolve account queries with credit control and operations.
  • Ensure accurate financial documentation across all projects.
  • Produce and maintain monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations).
  • Track labour and material costs against project value.
  • Maintain and update payment trackers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in construction or fire protection.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in cloud-based systems and digital documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
