The Role
As Commodity Manager, you’ll develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct commodities, ensuring cost optimisation, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. You’ll be a critical link between suppliers and internal stakeholders — aligning procurement activity with broader business goals and enhancing supply chain resilience.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supplier & Contract Management
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure best-in-class terms across pricing, delivery, quality, and service
- Manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance, performance, and value delivery
- Monitor KPIs, resolve performance issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop contingency plans to safeguard supply continuity and manage risk
- Strategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence
- Track aerospace raw material market trends and supplier capabilities
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic negotiations and alternative sourcing
- Report savings performance aligned to financial targets
- Use procurement systems, spend analytics, and market intelligence tools to inform data-driven decisions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, engineering, finance, and commercial teams to align sourcing strategy
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Present procurement performance reports to senior leadership
- Ensure procurement adds measurable value across the organisation
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Implement procurement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce cost

What We’re Looking For
- Strategic thinker with strong influencing skills
- Solid understanding of the aerospace raw materials market
- Aerospace industry experience preferred
