Quality FAIR Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Basildon, Essex

Rate: £18.54/hour + Generous Benefits Package

Schedule: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00 | Fri 07:30–12:30

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Compile, review, and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Ensure full compliance with customer specs, engineering drawings, and aerospace quality standards
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather and verify technical documentation
  • Flag non-conformances, raise ECRs, and support the broader quality assurance framework
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive a 'right first time' approach to manufacturing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves:

  • Engineering or manufacturing background
  • Hands-on experience with FAIR inspections
  • Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and interpreting engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • Previous work involving FAIR submissions
  • Relevant qualifications in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
