I'm currently recruiting for a Sales Manager on behalf of a well-established engineering business supplying specialist valve solutions into the paper manufacturing sector. This is a field-based role focused on developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth across the UK market.

The Role

  • Managing and growing key accounts within the paper manufacturing industry.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities across an assigned territory.
  • Promoting specialist valve solutions and associated engineered products.
  • Preparing quotations, managing tenders, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and providing technical sales support.
  • Managing opportunities and pipeline activity through CRM systems.
  • Providing market intelligence, sales forecasts, and regular reporting.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience selling into the paper manufacturing industry.
  • Experience within valves, flow control, process equipment, or a related technical product sector.
  • Strong technical sales capability with the ability to understand engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of valve applications and process industries.
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach to business development.
  • HNC/HND or similar engineering qualification would be advantageous.
