Job Role: CNC Milling Setter/Operator
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm
Location: Basildon
Our client located in Basildon is a CNC engineering company dedicated to producing high-precision components for industries including aerospace, automotive, medical, and advanced manufacturing. Our team thrives on technical excellence, quality workmanship, and pushing boundaries with innovative machining solutions.
- Set, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines within a dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment
- Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and CAD data
- Monitor machining performance, tool wear, and part quality using precision measuring instruments
- Collaborate with CNC programmers and production planners to meet tight deadlines
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety practices
- Solid experience in CNC milling operations within a precision engineering company
- Ability to set multi-axis machines (3-, 4- or 5-axis desirable)
- Strong problem-solving ability and a keen eye for detail
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
