The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As a CMM Mechanical Inspector, you’ll ensure that aerospace components meet the highest quality standards, supporting both new and existing projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting first-off and batch inspections to verify compliance at every stage of production
- Supporting Right First Time and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining rigorous quality control throughout the manufacturing process
- Using precision measurement equipment to inspect components (e.g. verniers, micrometers, DTI, height gauges)
- Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Supporting business growth by contributing to improvement projects in cross-functional teams
- Upholding ISO and industry accreditations including ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 45001, and 50001 standards
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone with a passion for quality and a sharp eye for detail. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in a quality control or inspection role (preferably within aerospace or precision engineering)
- The ability to confidently read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Competency in using various mechanical inspection tools
- A proactive and self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operations – desirable but not essential
- Solid problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
