Job Title: Civil Litigation Solicitor / Lawyer

Location: Essex

Salary: £42,500 – £55,000 (DOE) + Partnership Prospects

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:

A well-established and reputable law firm in Essex is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with a minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in litigation to take on a varied caseload and progress within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad range of litigation matters including:
  • Personal Injury (RTA & EL)
  • Contested Probate
  • Commercial and Contract Disputes
  • Employment Law
  • Land and Boundary Issues
  • Prepare and file legal documents including pleadings and applications.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements and maintain client relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with a valid practising certificate.
  • Proven experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload and work both independently and within a team.
  • A proactive approach and a good sense of humour are highly valued!
