We are seeking an ambitious, commercially astute Sales Account Manager to sit at the heart of our customer relationships and growth strategy. This is a high-impact role combining fast-paced Speedshop sales with strategic key account management across established aerospace programmes. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will own and develop relationships with strategic customers, driving new opportunities while ensuring excellent execution of existing contracts. This role is split 50/50 between Sales and Key Account Management, offering both the excitement of new business and the satisfaction of long-term partnership building. You’ll be a trusted customer advocate internally — and a credible, influential representative externally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Customer & Account Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for key aerospace customers
- Represent the business at customer sites and champion customer needs internally
- Understand and grow market share within key accounts through targeted sales and marketing plans
- Lead and participate in Business Reviews (BRs) and Programme Review Meetings (PRMs)
- Speedshop & New Business Growth
- Actively identify, pursue, and win Speedshop and late-definition opportunities
- Seek out and respond to new calls for tenders aligned with the business’s industrial strategy
- Coordinate internal teams to produce compelling, compliant tender responses
- Present industrial, technical, and commercial proposals to customers
- Lead negotiations through to contract award and industrialisation
- Contract & Programme Execution
- Ensure customer contracts are delivered in line with agreed terms
- Identify and commercialise non-contractual or additional activities
- Support new industrialisations through to series production
- Contribute to sales budgets, forecasts, and long-term account strategies
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Sales / Account Management role
- Strong background in aerospace or a comparable manufacturing environment
- Proven experience delivering Speedshop / fast-turnaround work
- Solid understanding of aerostructure manufacturing (machining, fabrication, assembly)
- Confident in sales negotiation covering technical, financial, and contractual aspects
