We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Solicitor to join our clients established property team in Bishops Stortford. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, delivering high-quality legal services to a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion
- Handle sales, purchases, leasehold and freehold properties, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds
- Conduct title checks, property searches, and draft/review contracts
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to ensure smooth progression of transactions
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients at all stages of the conveyancing process
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
- Meet billing and performance targets
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate
- Minimum of 2 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing (flexible depending on experience)
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
