Manufacturing Process Engineer in Basildon

Overview

A high-precision manufacturing group with operations in the UK and Europe is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its team in Basildon.

In this role, you’ll design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and external design teams, you’ll play a key part in NPI, process optimisation, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Support NPI and produce cost estimates
• Define tooling for assembly and inspection
• Use ERP/MRP systems to support manufacturing
• Drive DFM/DFMA and continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and aerospace materials
• Organised, proactive, and confident challenging existing processes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
