Real Estate Finance Solicitor Location: London Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join a highly regarded and growing Property Finance team in London. You will advise on a broad range of bridging finance, property finance and secured lending transactions , acting for lenders, borrowers, investors and property developers. This is a hands-on role where you will manage your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion. You will work on fast-paced transactions and provide commercially focused legal advice while developing strong, long-term client relationships. The role would suit a solicitor with solid experience in property finance, real estate finance, banking or secured lending , particularly someone with experience of bridging finance transactions. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied caseload of bridging finance and property finance transactions from instruction through to completion. Advise lenders, borrowers, investors and developers on secured lending transactions. Draft, review and negotiate loan agreements, legal charges, debentures, guarantees and security documentation . Undertake and review property title investigations, searches and legal due diligence. Advise on security structures and identify and manage legal risks. Liaise with clients, brokers, valuers, surveyors, accountants and other professional advisers. Negotiate transaction documentation and deal with conditions precedent. Coordinate completions and manage post-completion requirements, including Land Registry applications and Companies House registrations where required. Ensure transactions comply with lender requirements, regulatory obligations and internal risk procedures. Develop and maintain strong client and professional relationships. Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the Property Finance team. Supervise and support junior solicitors, paralegals and other team members where appropriate. About You You will be a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with relevant experience in property finance, banking, real estate finance or secured lending. You should have: Experience handling bridging finance and secured lending transactions . The ability to manage your own caseload independently from instruction to post-completion. Strong knowledge of property law, security documentation and lending practices . Experience acting for lenders, borrowers or both. Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines. A proactive and client-focused approach. Desirable Experience The following would be advantageous: Experience acting for specialist bridging lenders, private lenders or challenger banks . Experience of development finance or commercial property finance . An established network of lenders, brokers, developers or other property professionals.
