Job Description: Location: Maidstone, Kent Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 08:00-17:00 (must be flexible with start and finish times) Pay rate: £13 ph FULL TIME role Job Summary The Quality Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications. This position involves monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality assurance protocols to maintain high standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of HACCP principles. Responsibilities Overview of arrivals, on production lines and on despatch; ensuring product is correctly packed and is within specification Collaborating closely with the Online Qc, Line leader to maintain quality standards and Grade outs Managing workload according to daily orders Monitoring shelf-life, any customer samples and carrying out associated testing Completing any necessary documentation in compliance with any requirements Maintaining excellent levels of hygiene standards Working closely with on site Management team and 3rd party Management team Monitoring the productivity of our Production Operatives, providing training, support and feedback to drive improved performance at our 3rd party packing operations Give quality feedback to Management team and Customers Following up any rejections, investigation and complete any necessary documentation Skills: Previous experience of working in a fresh produce environment with responsibility for monitoring product quality would be a strong advantage Excellent attention to detail Understanding of and adherence to health and safety protocols and food hygiene standards The ability to interpret and follow written and spoken instructions Respect for others and values diversity; happy to listen and work as part of a small team A can-do attitude with a flexible and dynamic approach The ability to use own initiative and thrives under pressure A basic understanding of stock control systems TPBN1_UKTJ
