We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious and detail-oriented Chemical Process Operator to join our manufacturing team within the aerospace sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in chemical processing, manufacturing or a similar regulated environment who takes pride in producing high-quality work and following established procedures.

As a Chemical Process Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of chemical processing operations on aerospace components, ensuring that all work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements .

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out chemical processing operations in accordance with detailed written work instructions.
  • Preparing, monitoring and maintaining chemical solutions and process tanks.
  • Safely loading and unloading components throughout the processing stages.
  • Carrying out routine temperature and chemical concentration checks .
  • Inspecting processed components to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
  • Accurately completing production and process documentation.
  • Entering and updating production information using

Microsoft Excel .

  • Using Windows-based systems to access electronic work instructions and company information.
  • Following

COSHH requirements, risk assessments and safe working procedures at all times.

  • Wearing, maintaining and correctly using the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reporting process issues, defects, quality concerns or safety hazards promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Undertaking relevant training to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Supporting overtime requirements when necessary.

About You

We are looking for someone who is

  • Experienced in chemical processing or manufacturing

— aerospace experience would be advantageous.

  • Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high standards of workplace safety.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and following COSHH and risk-control procedures.
  • Able to follow detailed written instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Highly attentive to detail, particularly when recording process information and checking components.
  • Confident using a computer, including

  • Able to accurately enter, update and save production information.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn and undertake additional training where required.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
