We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international engineering business for an experienced Technical Service Manager to join its Rail Marine division.

This is a remote-based role with significant UK and international travel, ideal for an experienced technical service or engineering professional who enjoys working directly with customers, engineers and operational teams.

The Role You will lead and coordinate technical service activities including maintenance, repairs, overhauls and commissioning, while managing a team of service engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate service, maintenance, repair, overhaul and commissioning activities.

Manage, mentor and develop a team of Service Engineers and Technicians.

Plan resources, schedules and technical activities to meet customer requirements.

Provide technical guidance on mechanical and electrical drive systems.

Manage service costs, profitability, spare parts and technical resources.

Maintain high HSE, quality and compliance standards.

Develop strong relationships with key customers and provide technical support.

Resolve complex technical and operational issues.

Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades and additional services.

Monitor KPIs and prepare management reports.
