Projects / Contracts Engineer – Norwich
£38,000 – £42,000 | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Company Pension
Do you want to take your engineering career global?Join a world-class Norwich-based engineering company with expertise in the design, supply, support, and monitoring of large motors and generators. We specialise in the supply and support of rotating electrical machines and associated equipment, with a strong engineering focus and bespoke customer-driven solutions.
We’re seeking a Projects/Contracts Engineer to play a key role in managing international customer projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept to completion.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing customer projects – delivering on time and within budget.
- Coordinating service engineers and project resources.
- Supporting the development of new business opportunities in the UK and overseas.
- Working closely with our UK engineering team and commercial office in China.
- Building strong supplier and customer relationships worldwide.
- Providing technical, commercial, and logistics support.
- Handling some clerical/admin tasks – purchase orders, invoices, and shipping docs.
- Travelling overseas to meet customers and suppliers (expenses covered).
About you:
- Self-motivated, flexible, and solutions-focused.
- Experience handling technical customer project orders in a manufacture-to-order environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and logistics.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise across cultures and departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access knowledge a bonus).
- Qualified by degree or experience – we value both.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
