Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00pm – 3:15am

Are you an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy working in a precision manufacturing environment where quality is critical? We're looking for a dedicated Night Shift Quality Control Inspector to join our team and help ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards.

About the Role

As our Night Shift Quality Control Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of components, assemblies and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you'll inspect products against engineering drawings, customer specifications and our Quality Management System, ensuring everything leaving our facility meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Complete accurate inspection records with full traceability.
  • Perform timely first-off inspections to support production.
  • Produce and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Carry out inspections throughout the manufacturing and supply chain process.
  • Identify, document and report non-conforming products in line with company procedures.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions to improve product quality.
  • Escalate quality concerns to Production Management and Quality Engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and company procedures at all times.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in a Quality Control or Inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Confidence using a range of inspection equipment, gauges, measuring instruments and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • The ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and inspection documentation.
  • Experience inspecting precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
  • Knowledge of both metric and imperial measurement systems, including geometric tolerancing.
  • Experience of goods inward inspection for components and finished products.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience within the aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Javelin experience would be advantageous).
  • Knowledge of MSA, SPC, NDT and ISO/ASME quality standards.
