We're looking for a Skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join our clients fabrication team, manufacturing precision components for the aerospace and defence industries.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of advanced materials and specialist equipment in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As a Skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker, you'll be responsible for manufacturing and assembling precision sheet metal components to customer specifications and engineering drawings. Working with both conventional and exotic materials, you'll use a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern fabrication techniques to produce complex components to exceptionally tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture precision sheet metal components using a range of fabrication techniques.
- Carry out bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, stretching and assembly operations.
- Perform deburring, drilling, trimming, filing and grinding to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Work with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and Inconel to demanding aerospace standards.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including fly presses, brake presses and linishers.
- Hand-form prototype panels and complex sheet metal components from flat sheet material.
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to manufacture components accurately.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Ensure all tooling, jigs and fixtures are maintained in good condition and fit for purpose.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Extensive experience in precision sheet metal fabrication.
- A strong background in fine limit sheet metal work within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling fabricated components and integrating machined parts.
- Excellent hand-forming skills across a variety of sheet metal techniques.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- A high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship.

- Previous experience within the aerospace or defence manufacturing sectors.
