This is a full-time, 100% office-based position — no hybrid or remote work — ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, on-site logistics environment. The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar road freight import position, ideally with a basic understanding of customs procedures (though this is not a customs-focused role).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting daily import operations, working closely with the department manager
- Entering jobs and manifests into the freight management system
- Coordinating closely with the warehouse and depots to ensure efficient trailer off-loading
- Liaising with agents and customers to ensure timely delivery and excellent service
- Gathering key information from hauliers, including arrival and departure times
- Updating spreadsheets and calculating costs and prices for manifests
- Assisting with pricing, invoicing, and monthly KPI reporting as needed
- Training new team members when required

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a logistics or freight forwarding environment
- Familiarity with European road freight processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in data entry, spreadsheets, and working within a transport or freight management system

- Flexibility to work occasional extended hours depending on business needs
- Clear DBS check required
Role Details:
- Salary: £29,000 per annum
