As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll support the design and delivery of façade and structural engineering projects, working closely with experienced engineers and consultants. You’ll be involved in everything from early-stage concepts through to detailed design and site involvement. This role is ideal for someone who wants to specialise in façade engineering while building a strong structural foundation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting in the production of design calculations and technical analysis
- Supporting façade and structural design across a variety of projects
- Preparing sketches, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Contributing to feasibility studies and design solutions
- Attending site visits, inspections, and project meetings
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Supporting planning of site investigations
- Working to project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
- Continuously developing your technical knowledge and engineering skills
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Experience producing manual calculations
- Working knowledge of Eurocodes (British Standards / UK NA)
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities
- Ability to design in materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn
- Ability to produce clear sketches and technical information
Desirable:
- Familiarity with design software and its limitations
- AutoCAD knowledge
