A leading high-precision manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced EDM Engineer to join its growing Glasgow facility due to continued demand. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly skilled engineering environment producing precision components to exacting customer standards.
As an EDM Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Spark and Wire Erosion machines to carry out precision EDM machining operations.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate Spark and Wire Erosion machinery
- Load raw materials and unload finished components
- Adjust machine settings to meet customer tolerances
- Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings
- Follow company procedures, operating standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate production logs and report equipment issues
- Conduct routine machine inspections for mechanical or safety concerns
- Ensure tooling and materials are stocked to minimise downtime
- Support production demands during busy periods
- Time-served EDM Engineer
- Proven experience in Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Good understanding of manufacturing regulations and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Three-shift rotation (early, back, and night shift)
