£12.50 - £17 an hour (shift incentive of an extra £1.50 per hour for hours worked on late shift.)

Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week

We have vacancies for mechanical inspectors with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience to work in our climate-controlled inspection lab. You will be responsible for measuring both un-machined and machined castings using CMM and hand-held measuring equipment, working to demanding aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities/experience will include:

  • Experience in programming and operating CMM and similar measuring devices.
  • Carry out final inspection, FAIR and in process inspections on castings.
  • Understanding of CMM programming. QCT software would be advantageous.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in CMM operating/programming.
  • Understand component drawings.
  • Experience of working in the aerospace/defence sectors is desirable.
  • Experience of working to ISO9001 /AS9100 quality approvals.

The successful applicant will be highly organised with a meticulous approach to work and a high level of attention to detail. They will possess excellent team working and communication skills and be able to work unsupervised in a pressured manufacturing environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Alternating shift pattern of 1 week early (07:00 - 15:00) & 1 week late (15:00 - 23:00), or permanent lates.
