Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role will focus on planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment reliability and facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
- Support machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
- Use the CMMS system to record maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability programmes.
- Fault-find on electrical systems, drives and controls.
- Carry out basic PLC fault finding.
- Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
- Support facility maintenance and engineering projects.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety.
Requirements
- Recognised Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship.
- 5+ years' relevant maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of drives and controls; Siemens PLC experience advantageous.
- Ability to use workshop machinery, including lathe and milling machine.
- 18th Edition desirable.
- HNC/ONC or equivalent advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Shift:12-hour rotating day shifts
