An established and growing law firm in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join its busy Property Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to manage a varied residential property caseload while delivering a high standard of client care.

The successful candidate will work within a supportive team environment, handling transactions from instruction through to completion and helping to maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, developers and other key stakeholders.

Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:

  • Re-mortgages
  • New build transactions

Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction process.

Conduct client onboarding procedures, including compliance with anti-money laundering requirements, identity verification and source of funds checks.

Prepare and approve legal documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive with experience in residential property law.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems and digital property platforms is advantageous.
