Quality FAIR (First Article Inspection) Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Basildon, Essex
Rate: £18.54/hour + Generous Benefits Package
Working Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00 | Fri 07:30–12:30

Your Day-to-Day:
- Compile, review, and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Ensure full compliance with customer specs, engineering drawings, and aerospace quality standards
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather and verify technical documentation
- Flag non-conformances, raise ECRs, and support the broader quality assurance framework
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive a "right first time" approach to manufacturing
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS
What We’re Looking For:
- Must-Haves:
- Engineering or manufacturing background
- Hands-on experience with FAIR inspections
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards
- Proficiency with inspection tools and interpreting engineering drawings
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Previous work involving FAIR submissions
- Relevant qualifications in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
- Excellent communication and team skills
