About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Engineering Labourer to join our clients busy machine shop in Basildon. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the workshop and helping to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in precision engineering and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Filling CNC machines with oils and coolants.
  • Fettling and deburring machined components.
  • Operating a bandsaw safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting with the operation of CNC machines (full training provided).
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the machine shop.
  • Sweeping floors and ensuring work areas remain clean and safe.
  • Supporting machinists and the production team with general engineering workshop duties.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.
