Stock Controller in Southend-on-Sea

We are recruiting an organised and hands-on Stock Controller to join an established and growing business based in Southend.

This is a key role within the warehouse operation, combining stock control, goods-in, inventory management and hands-on picking to ensure installation teams have all the equipment and fixings they need for upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage goods-in, checking deliveries and accurately recording incoming stock.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, locations and computerised records.
• Carry out regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or unusual variances.
• Ensure the warehouse stock areas remain organised, safe and clearly labelled.
• Pick, check and prepare fixtures, fittings and installation equipment for upcoming projects.
• Ensure all materials are correctly picked and ready for collection or loading.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse and operations teams to maintain efficient stock control.

About You

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, goods-in or warehouse operations.
• Highly organised, methodical and attentive to detail.
• Confident using computerised stock management systems.
• Knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out stock counts and resolving discrepancies.
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
• Reliable, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
