We're looking for a Multi Modal Export & Cross Trade Operator to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of international shipments across sea, air and road.
This is more than simply processing bookings. You'll be at the heart of our Export & Cross Trade operation, building relationships, solving problems, supporting customers and helping us find smarter and more profitable ways to move freight around the world.
What you'll be doing
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day management of export bookings and shipments, making sure our customers receive the service they expect — and, wherever possible, a little more.
Your role will include:
- Managing multi-modal export and cross-trade shipments from booking through to delivery.
- Handling export enquiries, bookings, collections and overseas deliveries.
- Coordinating shipments across sea, air and road freight.
- Liaising with customers, hauliers, 3PL providers, carriers, customs authorities and overseas agents.
- Managing customs documentation and ensuring shipments comply with relevant regulations.
- Obtaining and negotiating competitive rates with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Keeping shipment information, costs and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Creating and managing shipments within LBase, our internal operations system.
- Ensuring all costs are accurately logged and export jobs are invoiced promptly.
