Production and Warehouse Manager in Barking

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production & Warehouse Manager to join an established manufacturing business in East London.

We are looking for a hands-on, practical manager who has previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and can confidently oversee both production and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands-on assembly of small parts/components, quality inspection and team supervision, warehouse management together with a valid FLT license.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production and warehouse operation, ensuring that products are assembled correctly, quality standards are maintained and materials and finished goods are efficiently managed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing daily production and warehouse operations.
• Supervising and coordinating production and warehouse staff.
• Carrying out hands-on assembly of small parts and components.
• Ensuring products are assembled accurately and to specification.
• Conducting quality inspections and final product checks.
• Identifying and resolving quality or production issues.
• Managing goods-in, stock movement, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Operating a forklift when required and ensuring safe movement of materials.
• Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensuring production schedules and customer deadlines are achieved.
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
• Supporting staff training and development.
• Identifying opportunities to improve production, quality and warehouse processes.
• Working closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor, Warehouse Manager or similar.
• Strong experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven hands-on assembly experience, ideally working with small parts/components.
• Previous experience in quality inspection / quality control.
• Experience supervising or managing a production/warehouse team.
• A valid FLT licence.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock control and dispatch.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach to management.
• The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Computer literate and excellent customer service
