£12.50 – £16.50 an hour (shift incentive of an extra £1.50 per hour for hours worked on late shift.)

Fulltime Expected hours: 40 per week

Mechanical Inspectors with CMM experience

We have vacancies for mechanical inspectors with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience to work in our climate-controlled inspection lab.

You will be responsible for measuring both un-machined and machined castings using CMM and hand-held measuring equipment, working to demanding aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities/experience will include:

Experience in programming and operating CMM and similar measuring devices.

Carry out final inspection, FAIR and in process inspections on castings.

Understanding of CMM programming. QCT software would be advantageous.

Salary negotiable subject to experience.

Skills and qualifications:

Experience in CMM operating/programming.

Understand component drawings.

Experience of working in the aerospace/defence sectors is desirable.

Experience of working to ISO9001 /AS9100 quality approvals.

The successful applicant will be highly organised with a meticulous approach to work and a high level of attention to detail. They will possess excellent team working and communication skills and be able to work unsupervised in a pressured manufacturing environment.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Alternating shift pattern of 1 week early (07:00 – 15:00) & 1 week late (15:00 – 23:00), or permanent lates.
